We’re Just Getting Started!

Friends - serving as your County Commissioner is a privilege. I’m excited to share that in 2024, I’m running for re-election to continue serving the citizens of District 1!

With your help in 2022, we won a historic victory that changed County government. Please join me once again to build on the progress we’ve achieved.

With new voices in County leadership, we’re seeing the beginnings of real change. We passed my bipartisan transparency reforms to give citizens more and earlier access to information about what the Commissioners are voting on. We created a long-overdue 13th Superior Court Judge position to improve access to justice, and added a medical doctor to the Health Board. And, as a former Assistant Attorney General who worked to protect vulnerable children, I supported new investments to tackle the opioid crisis and foster children’s mental heath. I’m proud of my work with both parties to get things done.

When needed, I’ve also the challenged the status quo, standing up for our shared values. I pushed to expand job training and apprenticeships for working families, urged the County to take climate change seriously, and questioned the poorly planned, failed jail tax increase. Spokane deserves a better plan for a safer community.

Looking ahead, there is so much opportunity to build a region in Spokane County where all children and families can thrive: with smart investments to support first responders and reduce crime; by collaborating as a region to address homelessness; and by working for a County that’s more affordable, welcoming, and accessible to all. We’re just getting started!

Please check back here for more updates on our campaign, and our vision for Spokane County! I would be honored to have your support.
